CPA and Tax Planning in Spring, TX
If you live or run a business in Spring, my office at 3663 N. Sam Houston Parkway East, Suite 600, Office 640, Houston, TX 77032 is a short drive down the Hardy Toll Road or I-45 to the Beltway. You don’t have to come in unless you’d like to. You upload documents to a secure portal, we talk by phone or video, and you sign electronically.
I’m Deanna Ngueket, a CPA licensed by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. I work with individuals, small business owners and self-employed people.
Spring sits along I-45 and the Grand Parkway, and many residents work for the large employers headquartered in the area. If your pay includes stock compensation, or you’ve relocated or work across state lines, I can help you plan for the tax side.
What I help with
- Tax preparation: individual returns, and business returns on Form 1120-S, 1065 and Schedule C
- Tax planning during the year, including S corporation decisions and quarterly estimates
- IRS and Texas Comptroller notice help, available without being an ongoing client
- Cloud bookkeeping setup, cleanup and monthly reconciliations
- Starting a business in Texas: entity choice, formation, EIN and the franchise tax calendar
Tax planning in Spring
Tax planning is the work that happens before December 31, while you can still change what you owe. In a planning session I look at:
- Retirement contributions. For 2026 you can put up to $24,500 into a 401(k), plus $8,000 more if you’re 50 or older, and up to $7,500 into an IRA. Self-employed people can also open a SEP and fund it as late as the extended due date of the return.
- When to sell company stock. Timing the sale of vested RSUs or ESPP shares can change both the tax rate and the year the tax is due.
- Withholding and estimates. If you have a side business or a stock sale, I check whether you’re on track to avoid the underpayment penalty.
- Your business setup. For a growing LLC, I run the numbers on an S corporation election and a reasonable salary before you commit.
More detail is on my Tax Planning page.

Common reasons Spring clients call
- Stock from work. Several large employers are headquartered in Spring, and many of them offer restricted stock units or an employee stock purchase plan. Vested shares are taxed as wages, and the cost basis on your broker’s Form 1099-B is often too low. If it isn’t corrected on Form 8949, you can pay tax twice on the same income (IRC § 83; Form 8949 instructions).
- A side business on top of a W-2 job. Consulting, real estate or 1099 work brings in income with no tax withheld. You generally avoid the underpayment penalty by paying in the smaller of 90% of this year’s tax or 100% of last year’s, or 110% if last year’s adjusted gross income was over $150,000 (IRC § 6654(d)(1)).
- Rental property. Depreciation and the passive activity rules decide how much of a rental loss you can use this year and how much carries forward (IRC §§ 167, 469).
- A new LLC or an S corporation decision. I prepare the first business return and run the numbers on an S corporation election. For an election effective January 1, 2027, Form 2553 is generally due by March 15, 2027 (IRC § 1362(b)).
Fees
Every engagement is quoted in writing before any work begins. Individual returns start at $550 and business returns start at $950. You can get an estimate on the individual or business pricing page. If you sign by December 15, 2026, your 2026 return is 20% off (details).
