Business Entity Review
Written by Deanna R. Ngueket, CPA. Reviewed October 2026. This page is general information, not tax advice for your situation.
Not sure your business is set up the right way for taxes? I review it and tell you in plain English whether the setup fits, what it is costing you, and what to change. I work with business owners in Houston, Spring, Humble, Atascocita and across Texas.
You choose one of two reviews: an S election fit review, or a review of a business return that was already filed. Each is a fixed-fee, one-time look, and a good first step before you commit to year-round business planning.

What you receive
- Written findings in plain English: what fits, what may be costing you, and what to do next
- A 30-minute meeting to walk through the findings and answer your questions
- Findings delivered within 14 days after I receive your documents
- A clear answer on whether an S election, an amended return or another step is worth paying for, before you spend anything on it
What it costs
Business entity review
$300 per year reviewed.
Each additional year reviewed is the same fee.
The fee is paid in full before the review begins and is not credited toward any other service. Anything the review leads to, such as filing an S election, a reasonable compensation study or an amended return, is quoted separately before any work starts.
How this leads to planning. A review or study is how I find out whether tax planning fits you, and what kind. My Tax Concierge planning is built around each taxpayer and each business, so it is quoted once your review or study is complete.

Frequently asked questions
Is an S corporation always better than an LLC?
No. An S corporation must pay its working owners a reasonable salary through payroll, which adds payroll taxes, filings and cost. For some businesses the savings are real, and for others they are small or negative once those costs are counted. The review answers that for your numbers.
When does an S election have to be filed?
Generally, Form 2553 must be filed no more than 2 months and 15 days after the beginning of the tax year the election is to take effect, or at any time during the year before. If that date has passed, the IRS has a simplified process for late-election relief in many cases.
Does the review fee count toward later work?
No. The review is a stand-alone service, and its fee is not credited toward any other work.
Do you work with businesses outside the Houston area?
Yes. I work with business owners across Texas, by video or in person.
